Learning Resource Center Committee 

This committee works on issues related to the development and maintenance of cancer-related Learning Resource Centers (LRCs). The LRC Committee writes and updates the manual Creating and Managing a Cancer Learning Resource Center and is currently creating bibliographies of recommended resources for LRC collections. Monthly conference calls are spent discussing topics in the area of patient education including:

• Use of new technologies
• Utilizing volunteers
• Marketing LRCs
• Continuing education
• Providing resources to help patients better understand the disease across the cancer spectrum
