CPEN is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization; your gift is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. No goods or services were or will be exchanged for this special contribution. CPEN uses contributions to sustain its daily operations and develop professional educational programs in cancer patient education.

The Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN) was originally established in 1989 by the National Cancer Institute's Patient Education Branch. CPEN provides a formal mechanism for the exchange of information among cancer patient educators, thereby improving the management and delivery of patient education services. This exchange of information occurs through networking, mentoring, collaborating, sharing best-practice resources, developing guidelines and standards, and conducting evidence-based research.
